Treadway Gallery offers a wide range of services relating to personal property valuation. Appraisals may be used to insure art, antiques and household contents for day-to-day insurance protection (to help guarantee you are not underinsured), loss of value, divorce, equitable distribution, estate valuations and planning, pre- and post- move inspections, charitable donations, gift tax, loan collateral, bankruptcy and resale.

Our areas of specialty are 20th century furniture, decorative objects and fine art. However, we are not limited to this period and are qualified to appraise all residential contents. Whether for individual items or an entire collection, we are prepared to provide a current assessment of your property.

As required by the International Society of Appraisers (ISA), all appraisals are prepared in conformity with and are subject to the standards and requirements set forth in the ISA's Code of Ethics and Report Writing Standard. In addition, appraisals are required to conform to The Appraisal Foundation's Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP). The ISA is the largest association of trained and tested personal property appraisers in the U.S.

The IRS now requires an appraisal for noncash charitable contributions in excess of $5000. Such appraisals must be completed by an appraiser with a designation from a recognized professional appraiser organization such as ISA.

Please feel free to contact us to discuss our appraisal services in detail.
