| 1054. Ernest Trova ( American, b 1927), "Falling Man, c. 1969; color lithograph, 24" x 24", signed, dated, and numbered. St Louis based sculptor , painter, and printmaker. Entirely self-taught as an artist, Trova worked as a window designer for a department store when in his twenties. He developed the "Falling Man" concept, conveying the same theme through a variety of different mediums, including painting, sculpture, collage, etc., for a window design. When finished with the display, many of the pieces were shipped to Pace Galleries in New York and were sold with great success.
