Filmus studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and at the Art Students League. He was a member of the American Art Congress and the Graphic Sketch Club. He exhibited from the 1930s-70s, at the Art Institute of Chicago, Audubon Artists, Denver Art Museum, Corcoran Gallery, and the ACA Galleries. His work is in numerous public collections, including the Whitney Museum, Metropolitan Museum, and Syracuse University. Filmus taught at the Cooper Union Art School from 1938-50. 3000-5000 |
