565. Reginald Leslie Grooms (American, b. 1900), “Repose”, c. 1928; oil/canvas, 18" x 22", signed. Grooms studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy and in Paris. He exhibited at the Cincinnati Art Museum, Art Institute of Chicago, Paris Salon (Society Artistes Francaises). His work is in the collections of Miami University (OH), University of Cincinnati, and the Muncie (IN) Art Museum. This is a fine early, impressionist work by this artist. 2000-3000 | ||||||||
