636. Frank V. Dudley (American, 1868-1957), "Golden Rays of Autumn", c. 1930; oil/canvas, 20" x 22", signed and titled. Dudley studied at the Art Institute of Chicago. He exhibited at the Chicago Gallery Association (1929-1931), Annual Art Exhibition, Chicago (1902-1927), Chicago & Vicinity Exhibition (1902-1943), Museum of Art, Cedar Rapids, Business Men's Art Club, Union League Club, Chicago (a painting by Dudley remains in their collection), Hoosier Salon,and Valparaiso University. In 1918, Dudley had an exhibition of his paintings of the area at the Art Institute of Chicago. He was a devoted supporter of the dunes area conservation. 6000-8000

637. Carl Graf (American, 1892-1947), "Girl Reading", c.1920; oil/board, 21.5" x 24.5", unsigned, but guaranteed, with provenance. Graf studied at the Herron Art Institute with Forsyth, and then at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and the Art Students League (where he met V.J. Cariani). He remained friends with Cariani, and eventually married Cariani's girlfriend's (Marie Goth) sister, Genevieve Goth, in the mid 1920s. He was the first president of the Brown County Art Gallery Association, formed in 1926. He painted landscapes and still lifes, and exhibited at the Hoosier Salon. Exhibited: Hoosier Artists Family and Friends, Indiana University "Down in the Hills" Exhibition, 1985. This is a very rare and highly desirable work by Graf. 6000-8000

638. Adam Emory Albright (American, 1862-1957), "Hair Ribbons", c.1920; oil/canvas, 24" x 18", signed. Chicago area impressionist painter. Albright specialized in scenes of his children in outdoor settings. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. He exhibited from the 1890s-1940s, at the National Academy of Design, All-Illinois Society of Fine Artists, Society of Western Artists, and the Chicago Galleries Association. 8000-10,000
