He was a member of the American Watercolor Society, Philadelphia Watercolor Society, Washington Watercolor Club and the Boston Society of Watercolor Painters. He exhibited extensively throughout the 1920s-30s, and his work is included in the Boston Museum of Fine Art, Ft Worth Museum of Art, and Amherst College. 600-800

She studied at the Cincinnati Art School and the Art Students League, and was a member of the Cincinnati Women's Art Club, Chicago Painters and Sculptors, and the National Association of Women Artists. 631. Maria Liszt (American, b. mid 20th century), "The Old Elm", c. 1950; oil/canvas, 24" x 20", signed. Studied at the Scott Carbee School of Art and under Aldro Hibbard, Carl Nordstrom, Emile Gruppe and Lester Stevens. Liszt exhibited at the North Shore Arts Association, The National Association of Women Painters, and was awarded the Elizabeth T. Greenshild's Memorial Award. She was sought after for portrait work as well as mural work in hotels, dining rooms and ballrooms in Boston, New York and Florida.
