561. Gustave Wiegand (American, 1870-1957), "Summer Landscape", c.1920; oil/canvas, 24" x 36", signed, original frame. Well known landscape painter. Wiegand studied in Europe, and with William M. Chase. He was a member of the New York Society of Painters and the Salmagundi Club, and exhibited at the National Academy of Design, Art Institute of Chicago, Corcoran Gallery, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art (1890s-1930s). 2000-4000

562. Robert Wood (American, 1889-1979), "California Coast", c. 1940; oil/canvas, 25" x 30", fine original frame. Wood studied in England before moving to California in 1911. Wood painted all across the country, although his most popular subjects were California or Texas landscapes. 563. Dawson Dawson-Watson (American, 1864-1939), "Grand Canyon", c.1925; oil/canvas, 18" x 24", signed. Dawson-Watson painted in Giverny just before the turn of the century. He ended up in St. Louis, where he stayed from 1904-1915. His best subjects were southwest scenes and Texas landscapes (he moved to San Antonio in 1927). The combination of this type of subject matter with his style of painting, which was highly influenced by Monet, produced powerful images. 7000-9000
