512. Paul D. Trouillebert (French 1829-1900), "Coastal Scene", c. 1870; oil/canvas, 12" x 20", signed. Important Barbizon style painter. He exhibited from the 1860s-80s at the Paris Salons. His career was given a tremendous boost when one of his works was sold as an important Corot painting to an influential collector. The controversy brought great attention to Trouillebert's paintings, and they became in great demand. He was deeply influenced by the work of Pissarro, Lepine, and Boudin. 7000-9000
