1530. Jackson Grey Storey (American, 1902-1977), "Still Life with Vegetables", c.1940; oil/canvas, 18" x 26", signed. Storey grew up on a ranch in Texas, before moving to Chicago to study art. Storey met a Cincinnati artist who suggested financing a commercial art school there, so he moved to Cincinnati, and opened the Central Academy of Commercial Art (1931).
