1526. Rocky Hawkins (American, b. 1950), "Lover's Rose", c.1980; oil/board, 18" x 14", signed. Well known western painter. Hawkins was born in Seattle and grew up in small towns in the Cascades Mountains. He was interested in spiritual elements relating to Indian culture from an early age. He studied at the Brunley School of Art in Seattle, Bellevue College, and with David Leffel, Ser Gei Bongart, and Joseph Bohler.
