| 1511. Abraham Walkowitz, (American, 1878-1965), a lot of three drawings, one pictured: "Three Figures", c.1897; 2" x 3.1", signed and dated, provenance: Sloan's June 1999; with two other drawings of similar size, all signed and dated. Walkowitz emigrated from Siberia to the U.S. in 1889. He studied at the National Academy of Design, and then in Paris. He exhibited regularly at Stieglitz's Photo-Secession Gallery in the 1910s; he also exhibited at the 1913 Armory Show. There was a major retrospective of his work in 1939 at the Brooklyn Museum. 600-900 | |||||||||||
