1472. Joseph F. DeYong (American, 1894-1975), "Home Sweet Home", c.1930; pen and ink/paper, 8" x 10", signed and dated. DeYong was raised as a cowboy, and had met Will Rogers and Tom Mix as a boy. He worked from 1916-26 in the Montana studio of Charles M. Russell. He later moved to California, and befriended other artists, such as E. Borein, F.T. Johnson, and C. Forsythe. He was always interested in the movie industry, and worked as a technical advisor until his death in 1975. 800-1200
