683. Jane Peterson (American, 1876-1965), “Yellow Lillies”, c.1930; oil/canvas, 25" x 30", signed. Important post-impressionist painter. Her distinct style and palette was immediately well received, and she had her first one man show in Boston in 1909. She also exhibited at the National Academy of Design. Peterson travelled all over the world painting, and her subject matter varied, but her concern with light and color is evident in all her work. 5500-7500
