| 612. Ken Gore (American, 20th century), Beached for Winter, c. 1960; oil/board, 16" x 20", signed and titled. Gore was born in Illinois and studied at the Meinzinger Art School in Detroit. He moved to Gloucester in the 1950s and painted local subjects. His technique involves applying heavy layers of paint with a palette knife. He was a member of the Brown County (Indiana) Artist Guild, Rockport Art Association, North Shore Art Association, and the Scarab Club (Detroit).
