| 521. Joel A. Fremion (American, b.1952), Peonies, c. 2001; fabric collage, 30" x 36", signed, fine hand carved frame. Well known contemporary artist from Ft. Wayne, IN. He exhibited at the Hoosier Salon (he won the outstanding work prize for first time exhibitor, 1992; outstanding work, any medium 1993,96, 97, and 98; and outstanding floral painting, 1999); Indiana State Fair (he won prizes every year from 1994-1999; he won the Governors Choice Award in 1998); Fort Wayne Artist Guild (1994,97, 98,99); Penrod Arts Festival (Indianapolis, 1996); Covington Art Fair (1996). This collage won two awards in 2000 for best mixed media; at The Indiana Heritage Arts show and at the Midwest Museum of Art, Elkhart, IN. It was also used as the promotional poster for the 2001 Indiana Heritage Arts show. Fremion most recently won the coveted Board of Directors award at the Gasparella Festival of Art in Tampa, Florida.
