| 507. John Franklin Stacey (American, b. 1859), Beech Woods, c. 1921; oil/canvas, 60" x 70", signed. Stacey studied at the Massachusetts Normal School in Boston before moving to Chicago in 1891. He and his wife, Anna Lee Stacey, established a studio in the Tree Studio Building. He was a member of the Chicago Painters and Sculptors, and exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Chicago Gallery Association. In the 1930s he moved to California, and he became a member of the Pasadena Society of Artists.
