| 506. Byron Bennett Boyd (American, b.1887), Iowa Landscape, c.1930; oil/canvas, 28" x 36", signed, excellent original carved frame. Des Moines, IA painter. Boyd studied at Colorado University, Columbia University, and the National Academy of Design, with Jean Manheim and Harry Leith-Ross. He was a member of the Des Moines Association of Fine Artists, Chicago Gallery Association, and the Iowa Art Club (president, 1928-32). He exhibited at the Iowa Art Salon (1930s); Iowa Artist Club, Art Institute of Chicago, Whitney Museum, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art.
