| 504. Benjamin J. Beck (American, early 20th century), Sailing the High Seas, c. 1927; oil/board, signed and dated. Beck was a marine painter from Chicago. He studied with Leon Lundmark, Frederic Grant, John Spelman, and Stark Davis. He was a member of the All-Illinois Society of Fine Artists and the Society for Sanity in Art.
