494. Lawrence Carmichael Earle (American, 1845-1921), “Potting Flowers”, c. 1894; oil/board, 9" x 12", signed and dated. Earle worked primarily in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He studied in Germany and Italy, and was a member of the American Watercolor Society, National Academy, and the Artist Fund Society (Art Institute of Chicago). He exhibited at the National Academy of Design, Boston Art Club, Detroit Museum of Art, Art Institute of Chicago, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art (1880s-1910s). 800-1200
