690. James Sessions (American, 1882-1962), “Gloucester Harbor”, c.1950; watercolor/paper, 14" x 18", signed. Important watercolorist and illustrator. Sessions studied at the Art Institute of Chicago. He worked on ships in the Great Lakes from 1906-14, and served in the Navy during WWI. His most well known subjects were marines and a series he was commissioned to execute focusing on the Jeep. 2000-3000
