623. Alexander Dzigurski (Yugoslavian, b. 1911), "Western landscape", oil/canvas,12.5" x 16", signed, framed. Studied at the School of Art in Belgrade and the Academy of Art in Munich. Was a member of the Fine Arts Institute in Los Angeles, American Artists Professional League, and the Society of Western Artists. His works are in the collections of the Belgrade Art Museum, Ford Museum, and Boston Museum of Fine Arts. He began his career decorating churches in his native land before he and his family fled the communist regime. He traveled extensively in the US painting in the Rocky Mountains, Grand Tetons, Glacier National Park, New England and along the coasts, finally settling in California. 800-1200
