| 616. Birger Sandzen (American, 1871-1954), The Silent Stream, c. 1930; watercolor, 11" x 15", signed. Kansas painter and printmaker, important member of the Prairie Printmakers. Sandzen was best known for his scenes of Kansas and Colorado, executed in a colorful, post-impressionist style. He exhibited at the Taos Society of Artists, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, Art Institute of Chicago, and the Kansas City Artists (1910s).
