| 571. Paul Turner Sargent (American, 1880-1946), A Sunny Autumn Day, c. 1918; oil/canvas, 20" x 14", unsigned, accompanied by a copy of a letter from the artists estate, carved contemporary frame. Landscape painter from Charleston, Illinois. Sargent enrolled at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1906, and studied with Charles Francis Browne, John Vanderpoel, and Henry W. Stevens. He was a charter member of the Brown County Artist Association and exhibited at the Hoosier Salon for over twenty years. He also exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago, Laguna Beach Art Association, University of Illinois, Swope Art Museum (Terre Haute), Indiana University, and the Liebers Art Gallery (Indianapolis).
