551. Leota Williams Loop (American, 1893-1961), “The Flower Garden”, c. 1930; oil/canvas, 14” x 17”, signed, fine contemporary carved frame. Indiana landscape and still life painter. Loop studied with Randolph Coats, William Forsyth, and Olive Rush. She exhibited at the Hoosier Salon from 1925-1959. She was a member of the Brown County Art Gallery Association, Indiana Art Club, Kokomo Art Association, and the Society of Independent Artists. This is the finest example by this artist we have seen offered at auction. 4000-6000
