| 675. John Fabion (American, b. 1905) Marines, c. 1945; charcoal/paper, 29" x 39", signed and dated. Fabion taught at the Chicago Art Institute in 1939, and then again in 1946. His best known works were of WWII U.S. Marines combat subjects, which he did for three years. He exhibited at the Art Institute during the 1930s, as well as at the Golden Gate Expo (1939) and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art.
