633. Louis J. Heitmuller (American, b. 1863), “Stream at Sunset”, c. 1910; oil/canvas, 18” x 27”, signed. Pennsylvania landscape painter. Heitmuller studied at the Royal Academy in Munich and at the Ecoles des beaux-Arts in Paris. He exhibited at the Carnegie Institute and the Society of Independent Artists. He came to the U.S. in 1893 and settled in Pittsburgh. He painted many works of the steel mills on the Pittsburgh River. 1250-1750
