605. Edmund Henry Wuerpel (American, 1866-1958), “The Hills are Dreaming”, c. 1921; oil/canvas, 38" x 52", signed and dated. Wuerpel studied with Whistler and Gerome in Paris. He was the Dean of the St. Louis School of Fine Art and was well known for his atmospheric landscapes.
