| 580. Margaret Patterson (American, 1867-1950 ), Wooded Landscape, c. 1903; watercolor and gouache, 20" x 16", signed and dated. Important Boston painter and printmaker. Patterson painted primarily landscapes and still lifes, strongly influenced by traditional Japanese printmaking. She was a member of the Boston Guild of Artists, Copley Society, Providence Watercolor Club, and the Philadelphia Watercolor Club. Her work is in numerous public collections, including the Boston Museum, Library of Congress, Oakland Art Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. 1500-2500 | ||||||
