552. Lester Chaney (American, b. 1907), “Luminous Coastline”, c. 1935; oil/canvas, 25" x 30", signed and dated. Chicago painter. Chaney studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and with well known marine painters, C.H. Woodbury and Leon Lundmark. He exhibited at the Union League Club, Chicago, and the Little Gallery (also in Chicago) in the 1920s-30s. His work is in the collection of the Davenport Iowa Public Museum. 1000-2000
