549. Ellsworth Young (American, 1866-1952 ), “Marsh”, c. 1940; watercolor, 15" x 19", signed. Young studied at the Art Institute of Chicago with O.D. Grover and J.H. Vanderpoel. Young was a member of the Chicago Painters and Sculptors and the Oak Park River Forest Art League. He illustrated many magazines and worked on the art staff of the Chicago Tribune and Times (Denver, CO). 500-700
