537. Johann Berthelsen (Danish/American, b. 1883-1967), “The Morning Mist”, c. 1910; oil/canvas, 16" x 20", signed, original frame. Well known for his snow scenes of New York City. He was a member of the Salmagundi Club and the American Watercolor Society. He was active in Chicago, teaching music from 1911-12, and exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1925.
