PREV. 533. Warren B. Davis (American, 1865-1928), “Forest Nymph”, c. 1920; oil/board, 5.5" x 6.5", signed. Davis studied at the Art Students League, and worked in New York City. He was best known for his paintings of idealized female figures. His work was used for covers of Vanity Fair magazine. He exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and the Salmagundi Club. 800-1200
