527. Joseph Birren (American, 1864-1933), "At Day's End", c.1910; oil/canvas, 24" x 20", signed. Birren worked in Chicago and in Laguna Beach, California. He was a member of the Chicago Painters and Sculptors, Chicago Palette and Chisel Club, and the Laguna Beach Art Association. He moved to Santa Fe in 1927. His works are in the collections of Union League Club (Chicago), L.A. County Museum, Pasadena Museum, and Washington University (St. Louis). A rare figurative work by this artist. 4500-6500
