| 514. Edward Dufner (American, 1872-1957), "Grandma's Favorite Hat", c.1920; oil/canvas laid down, 16" x 20", signed. Dufner studied in New York at the Art Students League and in Europe, with Whistler. He was a member of the Lotos Club, Salmagundi Club, and the Paris Association of American Artists. He returned from Europe in 1903, and taught at the Buffalo Art Students League (1903-07). He exhibited from the 1890s-1940s, at the Art Institute of Chicago, Paris Salon, National Academy of Design, Buffalo Society of Artists, and the Corcoran Gallery. 4000-6000 | |||||||||
