337. William E. Hentschel (American, b. 1892), “Storks”, c. 1940; airbrush painting, 14" x 14", signed. Important designer and painter from Cincinnati. Hentschel studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy and the Art Students League. He exhibited at the Syracuse Museum of Art, Taft Museum, and the Norton Gallery of Art (Palm Beach). His work is included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Smithsonian Institute, and IBM.
