416. Peter Marcus (American, 1889-1934), "Late Afternoon", c. 1920; oil/board, 12" x 16", signed and titled. Connecticut painter. He studied with Charles Davis and Henry Ward Ranger, and in France. He was a member of the Connecticut Association of Fine Artists and the Lotos Club, and exhibited throughout the 1910s-20s at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. 1200-1800
