Francis Luis Mora (American, 1874-1940) , lot of two works, one pictured: "Girl Sitting on Boat", c. 1908; ink drawing, 11" x 7.5", signed, information on verso stating that this work was executed at Chase’s Summer School on Long Island, 1908; with another watercolor, "Honor to the Christ Child", c. 1886, 16" x 13", signed and dated. Mora studied with Benson and Tarbell at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts School, and later at the Art Students League. Mora frequently worked in this medium, and exhibited at the Boston Art Club (1898-1908); Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art (1898-1934); National Academy of Design (1895-1931); St Louis Expo (1904); and the Corcoran Gallery biennials (1907-1935).
