852. Wallace Bassford (American, mid. 20th), "Nude with Flowers", c. 1980; oil/canvas, 36" x 30", signed. Bassford studied at the St. Louis School of Fine Art, University of Missouri, and at Washington University School of Fine Arts. He was a member of the St. Louis Artists Guild, Allied Artists of America, Audubon Artists, Provincetown and Cape Cod Art Associations. Exhibited at the Kansas City Art Institute, 1933 (gold); City Art Museum of St. Louis, St. Louis Artists Guild, San Fransisco Museum of Art, 1941; and Grand Central Art Galleries, NY (1970s). His works are included at the Missouri State Capitol Building, University of Missouri, University of Syracuse and DeBeers Collection.
