800. M.V. Breitmayer (American, b. 1889), "The Red Barn", c. 1930; watercolor, 13" x 18" , signed, matted, unframed. Studied with Chase and Breckenridge at the Art Students League. He was a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and the American Artists Professional League. He worked in Michigan and California. He did execute oils, but the majority of his work was watercolors, done in a style influenced by James Sessions. 200-400
