492. Harvey Emrich (American, b.1884), "Noon", c.1928; oil/canvas, 32" x 40", signed, original frame; on verso reads: "Harvey Emrich, Woodstock, NY, won Indiana University Prize at the Hoosier Salon, 1929". Emrich was born in Indianapolis and maintained his ties to that area throughout his career. He exhibited at the Hoosier Salon (see: A Grand Tradition: The Art and Artists of the Hoosier Salon, 1925-1990, this painting is listed in the exhibition record as #96 in 1929). Emrich studied at the John Herron and the Manuel Training High School in Indianapolis, and with Otto Stark. An impressive example of this painter's work in Indiana. 7000-9000

493. Aldro T. Hibbard
(American, 1886-1972), "New England Snow Scene", c.1930; oil/canvas, 22" x 32", signed. Important landscape artist from Vermont. Hibbard studied at the Boston Museum School, and was a member of the North Shore Art Association, New Haven Paint and Clay Club, Boston Guild of Artists, and the National Academy of Design. He was best known for his New England landscapes, painted in winter. 4000-6000
