Lot 478 478. Victor Joseph Harles (American, b.1894), "Central Park", c, 1925; oil/board, 20" x 16", signed. Harles studied at the Art Students League and with J.F. Carlson, in Woodstock, NY, as well as Richard Miller at the St. Louis School of Fine Art. Harles stayed in St. Louis, and was a member of the St. Louis Artist Guild. He painted all types of subject matter, but was best known for his colorful landscapes, painted with a palette knife. 1500-2000 |

De Voll studied in Paris and specialized in city street scenes. He exhibited from 1900-1930s, and his work is in the collections of Newcomb College, Delgado Museum, Rhode Island School of Design, and the Springfield, IL Art Association. 2000-3000 |
