| 440. Alexis Fournier (American, 1865-1948), "Normandy Fields", c.1901; oil/board, 6.5" x 8.5", signed and dated, also signed and titled verso, original frame and backing, under glass. Fournier worked at the Hoosier Salon and the Art Institute of Chicago, as well as with the Roycrofters, in East Aurora, NY. A fine example which illustrates Fournier's interest in Tonalism and the Arts & Crafts aesthetic. 2000-3000 |
