(French/American, 1873-1948), "Cottage beside a River, Paris", c.1920; oil/panel, 12" x 16", signed. Well known impressionist painter. Son of Daniel Ridgeway Knight, Aston exhibited primarily French scenes as well, but typically without figures. He exhibited at the Paris Salon and the Paris Expo, and his work is in the collections of the Luxembourg Museum, Musee des Colonies (Paris), Toledo Museum, and the Newark Museum. 2000-3000

(American, 1872-1937), "Woodland Nymph", c.1910; oil/canvas, 22" x 24", signed, fine original frame. Berneker worked in Gloucester, MA, and was a member of the North Shore Art Association. He specialized in colorful landscapes and street scenes. His figurative work is most desirable. He exhibited at the National Academy of Design and the Salmagundi Club. 2500-3500
