437. Turkoman embroidered "Tuskis", Kazakstan, c.1950, 3'8" x 7', "Tuskis" are used as headboards in the Turkoman tent (yurt). I have only seen one in the Western market in ten years, this piece was deaccessioned by a museum in Kazakstan, very good condition 800-1000

438. Sinkiang rug, Eastern Turkestan, c.1920-30, pictoral design rug featuring a throne flanked by a large flower-filled vase, minor wear to one end, 4'5" x 9'4", very good condition 700-900

Afshar rug, Eastern Persia, c.1910, this rug is in a medallion version of the "Morgi" or chicken design, so named for the proliferation of birds found on the blue area surrounding the central red field. Thin, even pile all over with wear areas in the center; original sides and original flat-woven end bands, 4'5" x 5'8", very good condition 1800-2200
