La More was born in Wisconsin and studied at the University of Wisconsin. He exhibited at the Chicago Print International, Whitney Museum, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, and the Carnegie Institute. His work is in numerous public collections including the University of Minnesota, Smithsonian Institute, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Dallas Museum of Art, and the Albright-Knox Art Gallery. He was a Professor of Art at the University of Michigan. 800-1200
