This came from a artist/photographer's estate who attended Cranbrook and Columbia University around 1940; it is not her work, but most likely that of a fellow student or teacher. Davis studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and exhibited in important modern shows at the Art Institute of Chicago (1937); National Academy of Design (1944); Pepsi-Cola (1946); and the Virginia Museum of Fine Art (1938). Her work is in the collections of the Museum of Modern Art, Cranbrook Academy, and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art. 1500-2500 |
