Charles Allan Winter (American, 1869-1942), "The Lone Indian" c.1910; oil/canvas, 24" x 18", signed with estate stamp, original Whistler-style frame with original hand-painted name plate, bearing title. Winter studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy and in Paris. He illustrated works for Elbert Hubbard. He painted landscapes, figurative works, and harbor scenes. 2000-3000

Margaret Whittemore (American, 20th century), "Taos Pueblos", c.1935; color woodblock print, 6" x 7", signed in pencil and numbered 42/50. Topeka, Kansas artist. She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago, and her work is in the collections of the University of Kansas, Kansas State Historical Society and the Wichita Public Library. Her specialty was woodcuts and illustrated nature books. 400-600

Arnold Lahee (American, b.1888), a pair of oils, California scenes, c.1940; pictured: "Mountain Lake", 6" x 8", signed with estate stamp, the other depicts a desert scene, also 6" x 8", signed with estate stamp. Lahee was from New Jersey, but he also worked out west. 400-600

Treadway Gallery sales leader in 20th Century Fine American & European Paintings 1093. Harry B. Wagoner (American, 1889-1950), "California Desert Scene", c.1925; oil/canvas, 16" x 20", signed. During the 1920s, Wagoner spent his winters in southern California. He resided some of the time in Palm Springs, and his works of the desert are well known. He was a member of the Pasadena Sculptors and Painters, and exhibited at the Stendahl Gallery in Los Angeles in 1927. 1500-2500
