561. Louis Aston Knight (French/American, 1873-1946), “Yosemite”, c.1925; oil/canvas, 18" x 21", signed and titled. A French painter who spent a good deal of time in the United States. He executed several works of classic American subject matter in his well-known impressionist style. He was the son of painter Daniel Ridgeway Knight. He exhibited at the Paris Salon and the Paris Expo. 2500-3500
