499. C. Bosseron Chambers (American, b.1883), “Mother and Child”, c.1910; oil/canvas, 40" x 26", signed. St. Louis painter. Chambers studied at the Royal Academy in Berlin. He was a member of the Society of Illustrators and the Salmagundi Club. His work is several public collections in St. Louis and Chicago. His specialty was figurative works painted in a illustrative manner similar to that of Louis Icart. 2000-3000
