| 468. Frank Townsend Hutchens (American, 1869-1937), “Woman Reading”, c.1900; watercolor/paper, 18" x 12", signed and dated, original frame. Hutchens studied with Irving R. Wiles and F.V. DuMond at the Art Students League, and in Paris. He was a member of the Paris Association of American Artists, Taos Society of Artists, American Watercolor Society, Silvermine Artist Guild, and the Salmagundi Club. He exhibited extensively throughout his career, and his work is included in numerous public collections, including Milwaukee Art Institute, Delgado Museum, Toledo Museum of Art, and the Syracuse Museum of Fine Art.
